The Database Administrator will be responsible for developing features for NGA GIS applications.
PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works in a lab environment
- Develops software in an Agile environment
- Modifies existing software to increase functionality or reduce bugs
- Develops new software to meet requirements
- Performs test driven development
- Works closely with security team to ensure best practices are implemented
- Works closely with testing team to identify and resolve issues
Requirements
MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA (or equivalent) and 6+ years of experience
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide Cloud applications (AWS)
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, Powershell, or Bash
- Proficiency in database technologies such as RedHat or MYSQL
- Proficiency in CI/CD
- Experience with Agile
- Proficiency in Java
- Experience with test driven development
- Top Secret / SCI clearance
DESIRED SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- NGA GIS experience
- Experience with AWS
- Great work ethic
