Job Title: Senior Data Quality Analyst
Division ( Weir Minerals)
Location: Remote
Purpose of Role: The Data Quality role will utilize industry best practices and experience to develop a brand-new Data Quality business framework, standards, procedures, and best practices while assisting with the successful roll out of a new Data Governance Program. Because sustainability is key to long term success of a Data Governance program, this role will include creating processes to audit and measure the health of critical data and work with business partners to create Data Quality improvement strategies. Finally, this role will be responsible for examining and resolving Data Quality problems and partnering with stewards to resolve issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance & Data Management: Creates Data Management and Data Quality Policies, standards, and best practices. Also, creates a scorecard framework to monitor adoption across Minerals. Finally, this role will include the creation and management of meta-data glossaries leveraging advanced Data Quality capabilities (Collibra)
Statistical Analysis: Uses advanced statistical and data profiling techniques to profile data and recommend effective solutions to fix data across multiple systems
Data Cleansing and Transformation: Supports data clean-up efforts leveraging skills such as data profiling, statistical analysis, data analysis, and data cleansing techniques.
Requirement Gathering: Partners with architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders to influence DQ adoption, and facilitates Data Development Lifecycle requirement sessions.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, Information Technology, mathematics, statistics or other relevant field related to Data Management. Or, equivalent professional experience in Data Management (3 years minimum, 5+ preferred).
  • Experience in Developing and Implementing Master Data Management and Data Quality Processes.
  • Experience using statistical techniques to discover the root cause of data issues & recommend mitigation next steps.
  • Proficient in writing SQL across multiple data assets (Python, R is a plus)
  • Experience with Collibra, Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Saas Applications, SAP and Cloud Platforms such as Power BI and Azure
