Caterpillar Rental & Used (R&U) is a part of the Construction Industries (CI) segment. A primary role of R&U is to support and enhance Caterpillar’s dealer network, which is a competitive strength and the critical way in which we serve our customers.
What You Will Do (Job Duties)
The Senior Rental & Used Data Consultant is the data expert supporting the Americas Field Team. The role will support the Rental Strategy through management of our Global Reporting Process, provide timely and accurate data analysis for our Field and Leadership Teams, and develop and improve existing reporting capabilities to measure progress toward our strategic goals.
- Manage Global Rental Reporting Process and lead Monthly Business Review with Rental Leadership Team.
- Leverage Agile project management in development of Dashboard reporting needs for the Rental & Used organization.
- Develop modeling and provide analysis in support of Rental & Used initiatives, e.g., Rental Fleet Planning, Target Setting, Operational Excellence Analysis, Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIW).
- Complete ad-hoc analysis as needed to support the Rental & Used organization and our business partners.
- Lead data and analytics training to support the Rental & Used organization and our business partners.
What You Have (Skills & Experience)
- Data and analytics experience – ability to understand data, drive insights and utilize to act and drive solutions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact across all levels of the organization from team members to executive management.
- Project management skills: ability to conducts regular and ad-hoc project reviews with project team, sponsors, and clients while leading monthly metrics reporting.
- Decision making and critical thinking skills
- Highly proficient in Excel
Top Candidates Will Also Have
- Knowledge of the heavy equipment industry and operating within a dealer network
- Well-versed in and passionate about customer growth and success
- Experience in the Rental and/or Used Equipment industry
- Experience developing Power BI and Dashboard Insights
- Proven ability to influence without authority
- Bachelor’s degree
Location & Travel
- This role travels frequently to dealer locations (25%) in North America
- The selected candidate is required to reside in Dallas, TX or Peoria, IL.
