Senior Data Architect

KAI Partners is looking for a Senior Data Architect who will be responsible for designing and building databases, optimizing data models, and supporting organizational data infrastructure. They have a strong foundation in Data Architecture and a proven track record in developing and maintaining data systems to support business needs.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Optimize database models for efficient data retrieval. 
  • Analyze system requirements and design data models to align with business needs.
  • Develop and implement Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) strategies consistent with approved business requirements.
  • Develop, create, deploy, and manage client-approved Data Architectures.
  • Develop and implement an organizational data management strategy to support business requirements.
  • Design, develop, and implement client-approved data warehouses and data analytics systems.
  • Design data infrastructure to extract and organize data for authorized access.
  • Facilitate effective communication and build strong relationships.
  • Act as a liaison between developers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in data flows and organizational structures.
  • Translate business requirements into databases, data warehouses, and data streams.
  • Create procedures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Analyze, plan, and define Data Architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

 Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Proficiency in programming languages.
  • Able to compile and organize statistical information retrieved and present findings to management.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of data-related technologies.
  • Strong data modeling and design skills.
  • Communications, teamwork, and the ability to work successfully in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of analyzing data to produce actionable recommendations.
  • Experience designing and implementing data systems from the data element, table, schematics, interoperability, semantic alignment, and system perspectives. 
  • Experience and training in experimental design, statistical methodology, program evaluation, and computer programming.  

Work/Education Experience:   

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP)
  • Certified Data Professional (CDP)

Compensation Range: $143,000 – $172,000

The salary range for this role may vary depending on the specific geographic location where this position is ultimately filled. Several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, certifications, pay equity, and organizational needs, are considered when determining the posted salary range. In addition, eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
