We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Management and Governance Specialist with expertise in Data Stewardship and proficiency in Microsoft Power BI. The successful candidate is a team player and willing to support the team as needed to provide top-level services and will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of our organization's data, while leveraging Power BI for insightful data visualization and reporting. As a Data Management and Governance Specialist at RB Consulting Inc., you will be at the forefront of data-driven decision-making, leveraging advanced analytical techniques to extract insights, solve complex business problems, and drive innovation.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Utilize Microsoft Power BI to create visually appealing and insightful reports and dashboards.
• Interpret and analyze complex data sets to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business units to understand reporting requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Data Governance:

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance frameworks.
• Work closely with the Data Governance team to establish data stewardship best practices.
• Meeting and administrative support as needed such as meeting facilitation and drafting minutes, action item tracking, plan and workflow maintenance.

Data Documentation:

• Document data lineage, metadata, and definitions to ensure a clear understanding of data assets.
• Maintain an inventory of data elements, sources, and their relationships.
• Track and provide guidance on key milestones and activities related to data governance activities.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data management processes align with organizational goals.
• Provide expertise and guidance on data-related matters to support decision-making.
• Monitor and assess forthcoming Executive Orders, Directives and guidance for applicability to current and future state work products.

• Bachelor's in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Analyst, with a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming/scripting languages in DAX, Python, R, and SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to convey complex findings to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with capability maturity assessments and criteria and related documents, CMMi and DAMA certifications desired.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively on complex projects.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Experience with briefing techniques and methods, delivering findings to non-technical audiences, including senior military or government leaders.
• Ethical mindset and awareness of data privacy and security best practices.
• Proven experience with data management practices.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain Tier 2/MBI clearance requirements.
