TITLE: Senior Customer Service Representative
LOCATION: Latham
REPORTS TO: Senior Branch Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time, Non Exempt
PAY GRADE: NE 30 ($20.00 – $30.19 per hour)
AVAILABILITY: Monday-Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm, Thursday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm
Position Summary:
Performs all phases of Customer Service, with particular responsibility for delivering quality Customer Service and consultatively recommending bank products and services. Acts as a leader in branch sales while motivating staff towards sales goal achievement. Opens/closes the branch in rotation with the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager, when necessary.
Essential Job Functions:
- Recommend/sell, open, maintain, service, close and renew (if appropriate) all types of deposit services.
- Recommend/refer investment options and insurance products.
- Sell loan services, interview loan applicants, preliminarily process loan applications for all loans, except mortgages.
- Handle auxiliary requests regarding non-deposit products and services.
- Leads and motivates staff towards sales goal achievement.
- Uses knowledge of bank services to develop and/or refer potential customers to the appropriate business development or sales officer.
- Consistently exceeds CSR sales goal by specific branch classification.
- Communicates with customers, regarding complaints and inquiries, both in person and on the phone.
- Coaches, counsels, trains and develops branch staff in all aspects of their work, including sales competencies.
- In the absence of the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager has responsibility for all phases of the day to day operations within the branch, including but not limited to open/close procedures, override privileges and staff supervision.
Education & Experience:
- High school degree or GED required. Two year college degree in business or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of one year CSR experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience required.
- Previous supervisory and/or training experience preferred.
- The incumbent must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
- Candidates must have completed or will be required to complete the Pioneer Bank CSR training within 6 months of obtaining the position.
- Ability to obtain NMLS license within 6 months of obtaining the position.
- Ability to obtain Notary Public License within 12 months of obtaining the position.
