Providence Health Plan is calling a Senior Customer Care Coordinator, Medicare Advantage who will:

  • Serve as a member of a service team that supports multiple regions
  • Provide Health Plan customers with outstanding, seamless service in a call center-based team environment
  • Serve as a first line of communication with a variety of customers, including existing and potential members, providers, and employers
  • Provide a detailed benefit, eligibility and premium information on a broad portfolio of products
  • Assist members in selecting medical homes and primary care physicians
  • Educate members and providers in the appropriate use of health plan and clinic services
  • Research and respond to claims and authorization inquiries, and resolve customer issues and concerns
  • Require a high degree of problem solving, a thorough understanding of Health Plans' operations, including claim processing, enrollment processing, benefit and contract interpretation, medical management and behavioral health initiatives, and customer relations
  • Be expected to exercise an occasional leadership role as well

  • Oregon

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • 6+ months experience as a Customer Care Coordinator
  • Customer-facing experience in all aspects of customer service
  • A proven track record of learning and applying complex concepts and knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree -OR- a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • 4+ years' experience working in a high-pressure customer facing service environment
