Job Description

SUMMARY

The role sits within Wealth, Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking (WCIB) Operations and reports directly to the Head of Global Network Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Description of role and responsibilities for this role is as follows:
- Proactively partner with our WCIB business partners -notably Global Fund Services, Global Corporate Trust & Custody, Private Wealth, Investment Advisory Services, and Elavon Financial Services (EU)- to offer consultancy services as it pertains to Custody Services within WCIB Operations.

  • Services covered include but are not limited to: U.S. and non-U.S. custody, corporate actions, settlements, foreign exchange, securities lending, network management, reconciliations, account opening services, complex assets, proxy voting, cash and treasury services.
  • Ensure WCIB and their clients are prepared for important market and U.S. Bank developments and assume ownership of issue tracking and resolution.
  • Translate actionable client needs into deliverables and/or projects for Global Custody Services to foster the continued evolution of its asset servicing capabilities.
  • Provide custody market expertise to internal business partners and existing and prospective clients.
  • Vice versa provide an outlet for senior leaders of WCIBO to raise concerns, challenges and feedback to our WCIB business partners to drive operational efficiencies, cost reductions, revenue increases and product development as it relates to Custody Services
  • Contribute to leadership team strategic initiatives as it pertains to advancing and strengthening WCIB Operations.
  • Be the central point of ownership for business line and product connectivity into WCIB Operations; organize strategic roadmap and demonstrate progress to executive leadership teams.
  • Understand key regulatory changes and developments that will impact WCIB business clients and ensure that WCIB Operations is taking into account impacts to our operations and client experience.
  • Focus on enhancing the client (WCIB and their direct clients) experience for our Global Custody Services by liaising with WCIB Product and Chief Admin offices.
  • Liaise with Strategic Third-Party Investment Managers of Institutional Trust & Custody clients to help expand our brand and demonstrate our place as a global custodian.
  • General internal support for Business Development Officers (BDOs) and Relationship Managers on product queries as it relates to WCIB Operations.
  • Serve as a WCIB Operations ambassador for US Bank engaging with clients, sub-custodians, fintech providers, and other industry participants to help sell and grow the business and also benchmark our WCIB Operations organization strengths and weaknesses against the competition
  • Attend industry events to represent U.S. Bank
  • Ability to travel up 15%.

REQUIRED
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED

  • Advanced knowledge of global custody, asset servicing, and investment instruments
  • Thorough knowledge of account management, custody operations, foreign exchange, asset management, compliance, risk, and legal regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of the applicable trust line of business, its products, processes, and related bank and regulatory regulations
  • Effective management skills to include planning, budgeting, and people management a plus as individual contributor role may evolve into managerial role over time
  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Ability to communicate quickly with clients to resolve client issues and disputes
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated track record of driving results, change, innovation, and executive presence

This position is hybrid, i.e., working typically three days per week at the listed U.S. Bank location(s) with flexibility to work remotely the other working days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $144,160.00 - $169,600.00 - $186,560.00
