Job Description
OVERVIEW
Provide supervision and labor for remodels, maintenance, and roll-outs for construction, petroleum, or HVAC for all Sheetz properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Define measureable individual performance goals, monitor and communicate via regular feedback.
- Monitor job progress and provide employee supervision to maximize profitability.
- Enforce all applicable OSHA safety standards.
- Schedule and coordinate all department activities at the project site, including coordination with Store Manager and District Managers to assure Store Operations and Customer Convenience is considered in the phasing of activities.
- Compile Daily Logs of project activities for each day of the project and compile Weekly Progress photos of all construction activity.
- Conduct Weekly Coordination meetings with all contractors to include review of the schedule and all applicable project safety, cost and quality issues.
- Procure construction materials and equipment for each project.
- Verify that all Contractors' work is installed per the drawings and meets the applicable quality standards. Take corrective action for non-compliance
QUALIFICATIONS
(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
Education
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Technical / Trade Training / Sheetz Training preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years commercial construction experience with 2 years construction supervision experience required
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License CPR/First Aid
Tools & Equipment (Other than general office equipment):
- Hand tools (hammer, measuring devices, wrench, level, etc.)
- Power Hand tools (saws, drill press, grinders, sanders, etc.)
- Pneumatic tools (compressor, nailer, stapler, jack hammer, etc.)
- Welding tools (torch, plasma cutter, welder, etc.)
- Landscaping tools (chain saw, leaf blower, weed eater, etc.)
- Motorized Equipment (generators, pressure washer, fork lift, etc.)
- Heavy Equipment: (Loader and attachments, lift, etc.)
- Tools related to construction and general industry
