The Senior Corporate Accountant will support the department by prioritizing and managing multiple projects, assignments, and completing deadlines timely.

Business Unit: Shared Services

Department: Accounting/Finance

Location: This position can be 100% remote or hybrid near one of our locations (Buffalo, NY; Durham, NC; Lancaster, CA; or Pittsburgh, PA)

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare quarter close schedules, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Manage fixed assets, prepaid and lease schedules
• Prepare journal entries in Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Prepare memos supporting accounting treatment and SOX considerations
• Support efforts to strengthen and maintain internal controls over financial reporting
• Maintain workpapers in support of financial and SOX audits
• Assist with the preparation of documents for 10-Q and 10-K
• Assist with compiling external audit requests
• Recommend process improvements
• Prepare variance analysis, financial ratios, and ad hoc reporting
• Assist with special projects
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
• CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, deadline driven and results oriented
• Problem solver with strong teamwork skills
• Strong desire to drive and implement change
• Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to operate independently and with the team
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field preferred
