Senior Construction Inspector - Water

We are looking for a Senior Inspector to join our growing water team!

Duties & Responsibilities

• As assigned, act as leader of Project Inspection Teams of up to four (4) inspectors.
• Inspect and record Contractor's construction activities at the project site to ensure conformance to the contract documents.
• Take measurements and maintain records of quantities and materials installed.
• Review and compile Inspection Team's field information and produce reports as assigned.
• Respond to inquiries regarding inspection as related to the project.
• Exercise sound judgment in identifying potential problems and report any issues to immediate supervisor.
• Work within a Project Team environment to resolve problems.
• Perform office support work, compiling records and data for proposed and completed projects.
• Assist in preconstruction services, including review of drawings for constructability reviews and preparing quantity take-offs for cost estimates.
• As assigned, delegate adequate authority to other Project Inspectors to carry out their responsibilities.
• Establish a good relationship with the Client that will enhance capability to perform repeat work.
• Direct training and development of Anser Inspectors.
• Assist in setting policies and procedures for Anser inspection standards.
• Notify Senior Management of any event that will significantly affect completion, profitability or the Client relationship.
• Operate motor vehicle in field. 

Required Qualifications & Education

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, or related field plus (7) years' experience as a Construction Inspector II; or commensurate public agency construction inspection experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications/Licenses:
• * Designation as CMIT (Construction Manager In-Training) per CMAA (Construction Management Association of America).
• * Certified as a Concrete Field Testing Technician Level 1 per ACI (American Concrete Institute).
• * Certified as an ODOT Pre-Qualified Construction Inspector.
• * NICET, APWA certifications are pluses.
• * Note: If not already certified as a CMIT, ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Level, or ODOT Prequalified Inspector, it is desirable for the candidate to achieve these designations within first year of service as a Senior Construction Inspector.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications and geotechnical reports.
• Knowledgeable in math, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to maintain records and prepare reports, both manually and electronically.
• Ability to work in team environment and lead as assigned.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust.

$65 - $75 an hour

Pay may be more or less depending on skills, experience and education.
