Job Description
Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to work as part of our talented Los Angeles area Cost Management team, partnering with a local government client on a large Capital Projects Program. The specific role will be based full time in the client's office in east Los Angeles.
The team consults on a wide portfolio of large-scale (multi-billion dollar) construction management programs for our key, well-known clients, including Real Estate, Data Centers, High-Tech & Manufacturing, Infrastructure, etc.
To be successful in this position you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role.

The salary range for this full-time role is $130K-$155K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.

Turner & Townsend are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to work as part of our talented Los Angeles area Cost Management team, partnering with a local government client on a large Capital Projects Program. The specific role will be based full time in the client's office in east Los Angeles.

Job Objectives:
- On site at client office - East Los Angeles (full time in client office).
- Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design.
- Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones.
- Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates within appropriate accuracy levels.
- Understanding design stages and estimate levels.
- Providing commercial input to design optioneering and input into value engineering exercises.
- Preparing cash commit forecasts for the construction life cycle.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders in the preparation of estimates/ cost plans.
- Analyzing labor markets and cost drivers such as Unions & Tax.
- Supporting our client's with monthly presentations.
- Delivering Life Cycle Costing models.
- Benchmarking integration to ensure accurate data capture.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working in a construction cost role and developing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- College and/or post-graduate degree in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
- Excellent communicator and thrives in a client facing role.
- Municipal estimating experience (minimum 10 years experience).
- JOC (Job Order Contracting) experience preferred.
- Background estimating commercial TI projects and renovations.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.
