This position works with the Director of Communications to develop and execute communications strategies for a portfolio of Senate races, including managing relationships with state party communications embeds.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Providing ongoing strategic communications guidance to campaigns.
- Serving as the Committee’s communications expert on specific races.
- Working across departments to plan and execute the DSCC’s positive and negative press strategies for specific races.
- Helping to manage DSCC relationships and partnerships with communications staff embedded at state parties focused on localizing and defining Republican candidates.
- Working with reporters in state and nationally to place stories and develop media narratives.
The ideal applicant will have multiple campaign cycles of experience serving in Senior Communications roles, and is comfortable working in a fast paced, campaign style environment.
This position is based in DC. This position is expected to work out of the DSCC office located on Capitol Hill.
