Heartland Bank is searching for a Senior Commercial Loan Processor at the Corporate Office in Whitehall, OH. In this highly visible role you will assist the Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM) in handling Commercial Loans from application through closing including the funding of closed loans. Input data into loan system in accordance with all applicable laws and Heartland Bank policies/procedures. Also, partner with the Commercial Loan Operations Manager with oversight of the department and on-going training of staff.

A typical day might include the following:

• Direct processing responsibility of approved loans for a minimum of one commercial lender and the flexibility to cover when scheduled or unscheduled absences arise

• Conduct pre-closing quality control check to ensure a full due diligence has been performed and the loan documents fully support the Loan Summary approval per the structure of the loan request
• Perform a post-closing audit of the data-entry on the loan system and train processor to corrections needed on an ongoing basis

• Responsible for the processing of the more complex Commercial Loans including, but not limited to, Participation Loans and Construction Loans
• Participate in the development and training of Commercial Loan Processors

• Full knowledge of all the types of Commercial Loans and all the processes and procedures associated with the same
• Support to the department manager and other responsibilities as assigned
• Generate various Commercial Loan reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Required Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years banking or processing experience.

Computer/Software Competencies

• Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Internet Explorer, LaserPro, CBC
