Senior Coastal Engineer

This role can by hybrid.  The ideal candidate will work a few days per week in the Marmora, NJ office.

They are seeking a Senior level Coastal Engineer to contribute to impactful projects in a vibrant coastal environment.

Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Senior Coastal Engineer to manage the design and construction of Coastal Engineering projects. As a Senior Coastal Engineer, you will oversee the implementation of coastal infrastructure projects that mitigate the risks of coastal hazards and sea-level rise, develop and implement strategies for shoreline protection, erosion control, and flood risk reduction. This is a hybrid role located in Robbinsville, NJ or Marmora, NJ.

Qualifications

• Experience in Coastal Engineering, including experience with designing and building coastal infrastructure and erosion control projects
• Expertise in wave theory, sediment transport mechanisms, and beach nourishment designs
• Familiarity with relevant technical codes, regulations, and environmental requirements
• Experience with coastal modeling and GIS tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong project management skills and the ability to carry out multiple projects simultaneously
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in New Jersey
