Job Overview:

APTIM is pleased to announce an immediate opening for a SeniorCivil / Environmental Engineer in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office to support our exciting portfolio of projects. Our Pittsburgh office operates as the consulting and engineering center for APTIM's Solid Waste Engineering Division, and as a hub for our Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group. We provide the following services to both the public and private sectors:

• Investment into your personal and professional development

• Facility design and permitting
• Stormwater modeling and management plan development
• Construction oversight
• Operations and maintenance
• Hydrogeologic and geotechnical investigations
• Environmental compliance audits
• Facility closure and redevelopment plans
• Solid waste planning and public education
• Environmental site assessments and remediation

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading teams or projects
• Providing technical oversight and quality control
• Anticipating client needs and identifying solutions
• Utilizing skills and knowledge to solve complex problems
• Preparing engineering calculations and supporting analyses
• Developing design plans and reports
• Preparing and managing, scopes, budgets and schedules
• Coordinating with contractors and clients
• Collaborating with other team members
• Attending client meetings
• Providing other duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

• BS/MS Environmental or Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• 10-20 years of Landfill / Solid Waste experience
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary project work
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Self-starter and problem solver
• Excellent organizational skills

Desired Qualification:

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS software, a plus
• Knowledge of landfill operations and solid waste projects, a plus
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
