Description
Fisher Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Land Development Group. The Senior Engineer is responsible for managing and overseeing various aspects of site/Civil Engineering projects. These projects involve Land Development design, analysis and construction.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
  • Perform and oversee the day-to-day technical design tasks associated with a project.
  • Attend routine project design meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and maintain accurate and complete project files.
  • Coordinates regularly with the technical staff, to complete the project within the assigned project budget and on schedule.
  • Complete field inspections and reports.
  • Effectively complete assignments related to civil/site design projects.
  • Develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Serves as the senior technical expert focused on Civil Engineering, including but not limited to site, utility, grading and drainage, and erosion control.
  • Provide oversight and design guidance to on-going and new projects related to site design/layout and development for Land Development projects.
  • Direct design teams in preparation of site development plans and reports, and in providing construction support services.
  • Coordinate with other consultants and oversee Land Development subconsultants.
  • Interpret local, state and federal regulations for projects and properly apply to design and permitting activities.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of technical work in a part of a major project or in a total project of complex scope.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase, which may involve field inspections and reports, addressing design-related queries from contractors, conducting site visits, and reviewing construction progress to ensure it aligns with the design intent.
  • Coordinate with reviewers and other disciplines to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Coordinate with other sectors and service lines to as necessary to fulfill project needs
  • Work collaboratively with our clients.
  • Provide QA/QC on designs and reports for project plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Represents the firm through active involvement in professional societies, participation on local business boards and community service.
  • Readily take on other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education & Experience
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 8-10 years minimum of civil/site design experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain it.
  • Experience with MicroStation, AutoCAD, MS Office programs

  • Environmental Conditions: Office environment, field environment, construction site environment; exposure to dust, noise, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions when working in the field.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
