Job Description:
A Senior Character Concept Artist supports the vison of the character outsource team set forth by Art Leads and Art Directors by managing and creating a variety of character designs; including weapons, armor, pets, creatures, mounts, and more!
They will be responsible for creatively challenging early ideas through iteration and polish to give 3D Artists a blueprint and roadmap for success with minimal feedback.
This role requires a well-developed understanding of anatomy, shape language, and other art fundamentals as they relate to character art creation, and the World of Warcraft visual style.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.

DAY TO DAY TASKS
- Create character art concepts for a variety of assets - weapons, armors, pets, creatures, mounts, and more
- Ability to explore a wide variety of ideas that push the World of Warcraft style
- Establish clear vision for 3D artists for minimal back-and-forth
- Enthusiasm for working closely with other artists
- Collaborate closely other art, design, tech, and production teams
- Support with feedback and paintovers to ensure quality of Outsource Assets
Your background
- 5+ years of experience in game development concepting characters
- Understand real-time game development needs
- A thorough understanding of 2D software
- Organized, great follow-through, hard-working, and team player
- Excellent follow through and takes initiative to solve problems
- Self-motivation, good communications skills, and a great team-player attitude
- Experience/interest working with outsourcing
