OUC - The Reliable Oneis presently seeking a Senior Change Management Specialist to join the Transformation division. At OUC, we don’t just work – we’re building a bright future of innovation and transformation for future generations.

We are seeking a dynamic, action-oriented professional with strong communication skills to join our team as a Change Management Specialist. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting and delivering OUC initiatives, leading or supporting projects, and influencing OUC staff to apply best practices within Change Management, Service Management, and Continuous Improvement. You will be responsible for creating and implementing Change Management strategies and plans that minimize resistance and maximize employee adoption and usage. We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and who thrives in managing complexity.

As a vital team member, you'll identify and implement Change Management strategies and plans, drive adoption of structured methodologies like Prosci’s ADKAR, and provide training, coaching, and consultation to leaders, project team members, stakeholders, and sponsors on Change Management principles. Additionally, you'll spearhead Commission-level change initiatives tied to strategic and operational plans while managing hands-on project tasks such as documenting change plans, communications, and training materials as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Adult Education, Training & Development, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in related roles leading Change Management efforts.
  • Proven track record in leading projects focused on process improvement, Change Management initiatives, and organizational governance.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering effective communications, including surveys, project plans, and workflows, to support Change Management efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with and engage leadership at all levels to drive successful process improvement and organizational changes, ensuring employee acceptance and adoption.
  • Change Management certification (Prosci preferred).
  • Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP, etc.) preferred.

Salary Range: $87,303 - $109,128 annually (commensurate with experience)
Location: “The Greenest Building in Downtown”- Reliable Plaza, 100 W. Anderson Street, Orlando, FL 32801

Job Purpose:     

Operates as a member of the Business Process Optimization (BPO) team to support and deliver on OUC initiatives, lead or support projects, and influence OUC Staff to apply best-practices within Change Management, Service Management and Continuous Improvement. Ensures projects meet program objectives by creating and implementing Change Management strategies and plans that minimizes resistance and maximizes employee adoption and usage. Works to drive faster adoption, higher utilization and greater proficiency of the changes that impact OUC employees, customers, and community. Guides projects of varying scope and size, including those with organization wide impact.

Primary Functions:         

  • Identifies and implements Change Management strategies, plans, and actionable deliverables for the five Change Management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan;
  • Drives the adoption of a structured methodology, such as Prosci’s ADKAR, and lead Change Management activities on assigned projects;
  • Trains, coaches and consults with leaders, project team members, stakeholders and sponsors on Change Management principles; facilitate Change Management workshops with project stakeholders;
  • Identifies needs, defines requirements, and develops associated training sessions;
  • Prepares and executes communications, plans and products: chooses channels and methods, tailor’s messages to various audiences, and determines timing;
  • Leads and implements Commission level change initiatives related to strategic initiatives and operation plans;
  • Leads the successful delivery of large and complex programs/projects with organization wide scope and impact through all phases of the Project Management Lifecycle, including Change Management activities;
  • Performs hands-on project work, such as documenting change plan, communications, and training material, as needed by the project;
  • Initiates and implements Change Management assessments throughout the project lifecycle including user readiness;
  • Identifies and analyzes resistance, researches best practices, prepares and delivers recommendations for risk mitigation strategies based on organizational needs and best practices to the project leadership team;
  • Creates and implements metrics to measure risk, success of initiatives and user acceptance;
  • Tracks and reports issues to relevant governance structure on a timely basis;
  • Consults with managers, project leads, and subject matter experts on developing effective strategies to reach intended audiences; defines goals for and develops targeted communications;
  • In collaboration with leadership, engages in development for the Change Agents;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Technical Requirements:             

  • Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:
    • Change management methodologies (such as Prosci) and supporting tools;
    • Survey administration, design and analysis;
    • Process flow maps, charts and other tools to identify root cause and monitor current metrics and improvements;
    • Team collaboration (SharePoint) and education (Office 365 Education) software;
  • Familiarity with all, but not limited to the following:
    • Related industry, organizational and departmental regulatory guidelines, best practices, and procedures;
    • Adult learning theory, organizational development concepts, and effective training design methodologies;
  • Proven ability to develop and execute project plans;
    • Project timelines, milestones, progress, cost, benefits and controls;
    • Identify and resolve project barriers and/or risks:
    • Develop and implement an effective communication plan;
    • Develop and implement a sustainable control plan;
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence (EQ):
    • Able to work well with a variety of personalities at various levels in the organization;
    • Able to have challenging conversations without taking disagreements personally;
  • Skill in facilitating Change Management related group interventions/sessions;
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment;
  • Ability to conduct data analysis and develop supporting corrective action plans;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges;
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, scanner, etc.).

Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:      

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Adult Education, Training & Development, Organizational Development or related Business field;
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in human resources, information technology, training/development or other related roles leading Change Management efforts;
  • Experience championing and managing projects associated with process improvement, Change Management initiatives training, and/or consulting related to organizational governance;
  • Experience developing and presenting communications including surveys, project plans, workflows associated with Change Management initiatives across the organization;
  • Demonstrated experience consulting and partnering with leadership across the organization to facilitate process improvement and organizational changes for successful employee acceptance;
  • Change Management certification (Prosci preferred);
  • Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP, etc.) preferred.
