Senior Cad Operator

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CAD Operator with expertise in MicroStation for a position with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering and design teams by creating accurate and detailed drawings using MicroStation software. The MTA is a dynamic and fast-paced organization, and we are looking for a candidate who can thrive in a challenging and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

CAD Design:

• Utilize MicroStation software to create detailed and precise engineering drawings, plans, and schematics.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Ensure that all CAD designs comply with industry standards, MTA guidelines, and project specifications.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct thorough reviews of CAD drawings to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors.
• Work closely with project managers and engineers to incorporate feedback and ensure accuracy in all drawings.

Documentation:

• Maintain organized and up-to-date project files, ensuring that all documentation is stored and cataloged appropriately.
• Generate reports and documentation related to CAD designs and project progress as needed.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to facilitate the exchange of CAD data and ensure seamless project execution.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss design concepts, progress, and challenges.

Training and Support:

• Provide guidance and support to junior CAD operators as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in MicroStation and related CAD technologies, and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Operator, with a focus on transportation or infrastructure projects.
• Software Skills: Proficient in MicroStation software. Familiarity with other CAD tools is a plus.
• Knowledge: Understanding of Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) standards and procedures is highly desirable.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• familiar with setting up workspaces and worksets using Projectwise

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
