The Champion Senior Buyer is responsible for buying, assisting with planning, and executing the financial strategies to meet or exceed sales, margin, and inventory plans.  The incumbent will lead the team to overcome challenges, think differently and break through barriers to take the business to the next level.

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute merchandise financial plans to the Brand and Category level by month in partnership with DTC Merchants & Merch Ops Planning Mgr.
  • Responsible for in season business management, managing markdown cadence with merch ops planner, and updating the merchandise assortment document.
  • Partner with the Product Management team on seasonal DTC development needs.
  • Consistently evaluate space productivity to help build the optimal assortment.
  • Lead the analysis and execution of product hind-sights and style out strategy sessions.
  • Set and monitor in season pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Own and execute the product lifecycle plans for stores and sites.  
  • Partner with marketing and visual team to build and execute go to market plans. 
  • Guide and mentor Assistant Buyers 
  • Partner with Director and Planners to ensure OTB discipline and react timely to business needs.  
  • Lead efforts on SKU Assessment deep dive to recommend go forward assortments by sku by channel.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal business leads and outside vendors.
  • Work with Site Manager on key stories and identifying feature styles in collaboration with Director.
  • Provide reports and analysis to team to inform go forward strategies. 
  • Create a team environment that fosters new and innovative ideas.

Qualifications 

  • Minimum Education/ Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant work experience, ; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred Education/ Experience: Master's degree with 3+ relevant work experience
  • Strong merchandising, product, and marketing skills
  • Demonstrates strong solutions-based skill sets
