JOB MISSION:
The replacement of current Merchandise Financial Planning tools with “best in class” solutions is a primary pillar in enabling New Balance to meet growth plans in the next five years. As we begin planning Enterprise Merchandise Financial and Assortment Planning programs, we need a Senior Business Change analyst to join the team. This analyst will sit on the Business Change team and be the primary liaison between the Global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), Program Planning, and IT teams. This transformational initiative will reimagine process, systems, operating models, and reporting.
The role will be initially responsible for documenting detailed as-is Merchandise Planning and Buying process, while simultaneously requirement gathering for future-state. This position will be highly influential in determining to-be process between DTC and upstream planning partners including Global & Regional Merchandising, Finance, Value Chain, and Commercial/Wholesale Planning. As this role will see New Balance teams through vendor selection, design, build, and implementation, you will be seen as a critical change management and training support for years to come!
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure ongoing enhancements to current tools build towards foundational to-be process. Building process to inter-connect the current and future technical road maps will be critical to our success.
- Partner with Strategy, Business Area Owners, IT Product Owners, and Program Managers to define and document DTC process and system requirements.
- Work with the Business Area Owners, IT Technical Team, Transformation Leaders, Functional Workstream Leads, and SMEs to realize the business vision for the project and successfully implement system solutions to support this.
- Document and communicate action items, deliverables, and dates to leadership and business partners. Ensure timely delivery of the above or appropriate escalation of delays.
- Consistently show up as a strong “voice of the business”, building the trust across Regional DTC teams to make critical requirement and process decisions.
- Support end users through extensive change management planning and activation in close partnership with Transformation Leaders and OCM team. Delivering intuitive training materials to end users will ease the cut-over.
- Anticipate and consider impact and integration into other systems such as ERP, Aptos, O9, etc.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
- 4-6+ years of experience as a Merchandise Planner/Buyer, Business Analyst, or similar role, preferably in a large matrix organization.
- Experience in Direct-to-Consumer MFP required.
- Experience in Footwear & Apparel companies a plus, but not required.
- Ability to partner with varied stakeholders and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Track record of delivering on-time, high-quality work.
- Creative energy and ability to work within a complex, matrixed environment.
- Flexibility, creative problem solving and innovation mindset.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and in receiving direction from multiple people and prioritizing or asking for prioritization assistance from managers.
- Understanding of Global RACI/Business Process mapping.
- Excel, PowerPoint, Miro/Mural, PowerBI, and MFP expertise preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or significant experience in lieu of a degree.

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
