Job Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our fast-paced team of analysts. The person in this role will own the analytical responsibilities for their category. They will be the lead point of contact supporting our sales team with our pricing assessment process. This role requires a consultative and analytical mindset with the ability to solve practical problems and readily adapt to the requirements of the task at hand. This role will interact with multiple internal and external stakeholders from various functions and help us create a data-driven culture. The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, self-motivated professional who can work in a team setting, but also can work independently.
Summary of Responsibilities

  • Collect, format, and analyze complex data sets from multiple platforms and output formats – drawing actionable insights and trends
  • Comfortable working across multiple data sources and basic understanding of the fundamentals of data cleansing, normalization, and standardization
  • Analyze product data to identify optimal savings opportunities while maintaining quality.
  • Conduct complex audits to ensure accuracy of analyses.
  • Develop summaries that identifies strengths and complexities of analyses.
  • Ability to manipulate data to accommodate customer’s unique or complex requests.
  • Create presentations by identifying, analyzing, and consolidating data into an accurate and concise savings story.
  • Create ad hoc analyses and reports when data is not presented in a typical fashion
  • Prioritize, support, and maintain deliverables (i.e. assessments, reporting, etc.).
  • Identify and report data quality issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Perform pricing evaluations to assess contract competitiveness that feeds an assessment proposal to our end customer
  • Develop analytical strategies to help our sales team grow contract utilization and compliance within their assigned customer base
  • Take ownership of all pricing governance policies and processes and become the Subject Matter Expert and resource to the Sales team for assigned category, with the ability to answer complex questions about contract and analysis specifics
  • Work closely and communicate frequently with the sales teams, contracts, operations, and suppliers as needed
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, manage escalations, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to make decisions and problem solve in ambiguous situations.
  • Acts as a mentor to less experienced colleagues
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Business Analytics
  • BA/BS in a field that demonstrates competency for the role. i.e. math, engineering, statistics, or computer science
  • Advanced Excel experience including pivot tables/reports, conditional formulas, formatting, XLOOKUPs, and charts/graphs
  • Extensive analytical & problem-solving skills with the proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to effectively work and communicate with business stakeholders and process owners
  • Data driven storytelling skills to deliver impactful and actionable insights
  • Strong written and verbal communication. Must be able to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization as well as with our customers
  • Self-motivated / Willing to learn / Well organized
  • Experience or familiarity with Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, R, and/or Salesforce preferred
