Job Description
Our company is a leading player in the telecommunications industry, and we are currently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. This role will be instrumental in overseeing all accounting activities, with guidance from the company's CEO/CFO/Operations Manager as needed. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting. Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, collecting payments, reconciling client accounts, and furnishing documents for clients as requested.
- Oversee accounts payable functions, including tracking and reconciling company credit card spending.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations and required journal entries.
- Produce financial statements within established timeframes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prepare special financial analyses and reports as requested.
- Coordinate with external accountants on quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Identify and execute improvements in the efficiency and accuracy of accounting controls and operations.
- Provide excellent service to vendors, customers, and internal staff.
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience with an understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and Google Apps.
- High levels of integrity, honesty, and discretion.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform routine daily tasks, requiring close attention to detail and accuracy.
