Attend coordination meetings and negotiate with trade contractors. Ensure SLHC system receives priority in the MEP coordination process.
At the request of the project management team, assist in the coordination of the MEP trades to develop BIM programs.
Communicate with individuals or groups (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees) both verbally and in writing. Maintain relationships to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.
Assist the preconstruction staff in the preconstruction process (budgets, scope review, constructability, scheduling, bid day preparation, proposal breakdowns, bid leveling, etc).
At the request of the project management team, conduct MEP project inspections to ensure quality, contract compliance, percent complete, etc.
At the request of the project management team, review MEP submittal data prior to submission to the design team.
Must be willing to travel if required.
Employ clash detection software to eliminate conflicts.
Assist Project Manager with tasks stemming from MEP coordination: RFI (Request for Information) support, review of construction documents, etc.
Assist project manager in identifying scope changes due to RFIs, ASIs (Architects Supplemental Instructions), etc.
When needed, participate in jobsite “walk downs” with trade contractors, design professionals, subcontractors, and SLHC installation crews.
Develop submittal sets and installation drawings from coordinated layouts.
Manage multiple tasks, and meet or exceed assigned deadlines.
Perform such other special assignments as may be requested. These could be on-time, unique tasks or ongoing assignments.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
4 or more years of experience with AutoCAD.
4 or more years of experience with Revit.
3 or more years of experience with Navis Works or equivalent clash-detection software.
Knowledge of drawing preparation practices and procedures.
4 or more years of mechanical systems coordination and detailing experience.
Previous experience in high-level negotiations.
Previous experience managing budgets to project.
Bachelor’s degree required. Can be substituted with Associates degree in technical drawing field and 10 years related experience.
Desirable, but not Essential:
Prior experience coordinating PTS systems in the healthcare industry (knowledge of Swisslog Healthcare products and systems is preferred).
Compensation: Salary range for this position is $75,000 - 90,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skillset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical / dental / vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, disability, 401k matching (up to 8%).
