As a Principal Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing our data infrastructure. You will be responsible for leading a team of Data Engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the development of scalable and efficient data solutions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Azure and SQL technologies, possess strong leadership skills, and demonstrate a deep understanding of Data Engineering best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (10+ years) in Data Engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing solutions in Azure.
- Strong expertise in SQL and database design principles.
- Provide support in designing and overseeing enterprise-grade data pipelines and data stores
- Exhibit a solid understanding of database design, data warehousing concepts, big data platforms, and ETL operations.
- Extensive experience with Azure data services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Solid programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring a team of Data Engineers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on Data Warehouse architecture and development experience
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Azure development.
