Position Summary:
The Senior Automation Test Engineeris responsible for creating automated tests that complete regression tests of our products. TheSenior Automation Test Engineerwill collaborate with the software development team, business owners and other QA team members to identify test requirements and translate those into a test framework, and test programs that become part of the CI/CD pipeline providing guidance on bug identification and resolution. This is an in-person, on-site position for those in the South Bend area. Remote will be considered if not in the South Bend area.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated software testing for Harmony Healthcare IT products
- Work with business owners and stakeholders to contribute to product requirements and translation of business requirements into automated tests
- Setup and maintain end to end automation framework for regression testing
- Create automated regression test suites that will be integrated into CI/CD pipelines
- Create automated feature acceptance suites that can be used to accept new features
- Setup and maintain API automation framework for integration testing
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Familiar with SQL
- Experience with stubbing and mocking
- Experience with writing regression tests using common testing frameworks
- Experience working with Linux
- Prior knowledge with testing applications and services
- Familiar with containers and the use of containerized applications
- Experience with automated load and performance testing.
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Scrum Agile and Kanban
- Proficiency working with management tools like JIRA
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Recording test results
- Manual testing
- Writing defects with reproduction steps and debugging with team members
- Interpreting business requirements and incorporating them into test cases.
- Experience with testing applications that utilize various databases.
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in QA and with a minimum of 3 years writing automated tests
- Bachelor's degree in computer technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
