A Preeminent Law Firm is a mid-sized Los Angeles law firm with a primary focus on civil litigation defense, insurance defense, and construction defect. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Trial Attorney to join our team.Responsibilities:
- Will handle all aspects of cases assigned to them, from the inception of the matter to preparation and supervision of the trial proceeding;
- Case evaluation and preparation;
- Develop a plan of action and recommend a winning case strategy;
- Interview witnesses for court cases and prepares witnesses to testify;
- Correspond with attorneys, court personnel, and clients regarding cases;
- Prepare and draft pleadings, discovery, and other legal documents on behalf of clients;
- Perform administrative duties as they relate to the practice of law;
- Correspond as needed;
- Appear in court on all cases assigned;
- Report on hearing, depositions, appearances;
- Negotiate settlements;
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of experience in personal injury, insurance defense, construction defect, business litigation, or other relevant experience;
- Independent case handling from inception through trial;
- Must have trial experience, preferably multiple first chair jury trials;
- Strong analytical and problem solving expertise;
- Effective time management;
- Maintain a commitment to superior client service;
- Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California and in good standing with the state bar;
- Exceptional personal interaction skills;
- Excellent analytical and academic credentials;
- Legal case management software experience preferred;
- Technologically adept;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Previous management experience is strongly preferred.
A Preeminent Law Firm currently has offices in Woodland Hills/Warner Center and Redwood City. This role will be based at the Woodland Hills location and is an in-office position.
