Senior Associate (Hybrid)

Description:

Chicago Family Law Litigation Firm seeks a full-time Senior Associate Attorney for a fast-growing 6-attorney law firm. The Law Firm is located in River North near the Chicago Brown line El Stop.
We are seeking an individual to join our ever-growing team of attorneys and staff. The ideal candidate must be motivated, have knowledge and experience in family law, and great negotiation and communication skills. We are looking for an individual who is highly organized, punctual, is capable of accepting direction from various attorneys and other staff, and managing their own caseload. Confidentiality of client information is of the utmost importance and must be observed and respected at all times.
Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with a case from inception to settlement or trial
• Client communication involving advising clients to understand their options and make an informed decision
• Court appearances, in-person and via Zoom
• Drafting motions, judgments, settlement agreements, correspondences, pretrial memorandums, and other legal documents required during a case
• Conducting discovery
• Conducting consultations with potential clients

Requirements:

• Admitted to the Illinois Bar and currently in good standing
• 3-5 years of experience in family law litigation
• Strong legal research skills, specifically utilizing Westlaw
• Outstanding communication skills
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable handling multiple cases at one time
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Experience using the law practice management software, Clio, is a plus, but is not required.
