Job description

Ensure the effective communication of Pre-College, Access, and Pathways (Pre-CAP) and partner programming for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at NYU's Washington Square campus. Develop written communications, presentations, social media content, and other materials for non-degree and Pathways students and families. Conduct information sessions about the benefits, opportunities, and pathways available through Pre-CAP and partner programs. Produce text and other outreach campaigns aimed at keeping applicants, students, and alumni informed about college application deadlines, financial aid resources, and other higher education opportunities. Support programming and events at the New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai degree-granting campuses, in addition to NYU’s domestic and global study-away sites.


Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Communications, Higher Education, or related field.
Required Experience:
3+ years experience in university admissions, student services, higher education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years at an institution of higher education or a community-based organization with a focus on college access.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated confidence and public speaking ability. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to solve problems using sound judgment and analysis. Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining flexibility and proactivity. Ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy. Ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, parents, professional colleagues, and the public. Ability to take direction from a variety of management styles and roles.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Familiarity with K-12 education systems and college access programs. Experience in managing texting campaigns or other student outreach initiatives. Knowledge of CRMs/Slate and other Communications and education platforms (e.g. Email Direct, Brightspace).


In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
