The State of North Dakota is looking for a Senior Application Developer to support the creation and development of applications on complex size projects and enhancements. The successful Senior Application Developer will:
- Provide technical analysis and design solutions for complex solution, while concentrating on the strategic initiatives of the customer
- Create and design documentation to customer for approval, and update as required
- Develop test scenarios and implement solutions
- Prepare time and cost estimates for large projects and use established project management standards to manage costs and deadlines
- Monitor change management activities including issues and impacts
The successful Senior Application Developer will apply development best practices and design principles to create easy-to-use and maintainable applications. The individual must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to perform in a fast-paced, progressive, and challenging environment. The individual must be highly organized, able to manage their time and priorities effectively in order to meet organization standards. The successful candidate should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships while working independently and within an Agile/Scrum team environment,
To be considered for this role you must have one of the following:
Five years of progressive experience developing applications for large, complex projects involving Java
A bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field and two year’s of progressive experience involving application development and project management involving Java
An associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field and three years of progressive experience involving application development and project management involving Java
Note: NDIT will attempt to fill this position at the Sr. Application Developer level. If unable to find candidates who meet the above outlined minimum qualifications, the hiring authority reserves the right to under fill this position at the Application Developer level. NDIT will train the successful candidate in any areas of unfamiliarity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,800.00 - $105,100.00 per year
