- Daily monitoring of Mortgage, PLOC, HELOC and Credit Card delinquent accounts to ensure appropriate action is taken to resolve default status including recommending next steps in Loss Mitigation to the Senior Manager Loan Operations based on DOA
- Conduct detailed in-depth reviews of credit card, PLOC, HELOC and mortgage defaulted accounts to support mid-month and end of month portfolio allowance meetings or ad hoc inquires.
- Lead and fulfill all requests for information and/or documentation from the Portfolio Management Working Group membership, Internal Auditors, or External Auditors.
- Prepare files for foreclosure referral to counsel for processing ensuring all related documents further presented or prepared are accurately completed, and the appropriate approval authority/signatures have been obtained timely per Delegation of Authority.
- Accept, review and approve default related modification requests or TDR's with assigned Delegation of Authority, ensuring complete and timely one up referral as required.
- Effectively manage non-accrual accounts by: ordering initial appraisals, and tracking anniversary dates to order annual appraisals on time, accurately calculating NVR and recommending write downs, removing accounts from non-accrual status as required.
- Process all incoming Estate Claims and notifications of bankruptcy accurately and in a timely manner to ensure compliance to regulations and to ensure a positive client experience.
- Accurately prepare and process third party recoveries received, DDA, PLOC and HELOC account charge offs, submission of bank owned properties into REO, and all default related GL exceptions.
- Primary contact to Affinity Global to support, daily, monthly and quarterly recovery routines.
- Primary contact to Mortgage Subservicer Default & Collections to ensure daily, and monthly accurate execution of contracted services.
- Primary contact to RBC Credit Management and Recovery (CM&R) operations center to monitor daily, and monthly routines to ensure high portfolio performance is maintained as measured by their key metric dashboard.
- Primary contact to P&S to support processing legal matters on behalf of the RBC Bank.
- Act as SME for all default and collections related projects/initiatives.
- Actively identifies opportunities to automate and improve the effectiveness of our default and collections routines, activities, strategies or partnerships.
- Ensures quick and accurate response to inquiries received from internal and external partners, the sales and service workforce or clients directly.
- Leads timely resolution and accurate response to customer complaints related to default and collections activities.
- Understands and supports RBC Bank's client experience objectives and positively contributes to our brand experience each and every day.
