Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst, Insurance and Risk Management reports to the Director, Insurance and Risk Management.  With the Director, the Sr. Analyst is responsible for the administration of the global risk program through the identification, assessment and mitigation of property, casualty, financial and other risks to the organization. This individual will generate meaningful reporting to support recommendations and decisions for optimum coverage opportunities through self-insured plans, insurance or captive opportunities.  Through collaboration with internal and external partners, the Sr. Analyst will assist in the development and execution of risk management protocols and solutions to reduce cost and exposure to the Company. Other responsibilities include the development of analytics and actionable reporting & trending tools to monitor and mitigate the total cost of risk, development of risk management tools & practices to streamline organizational policies and reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with broker to provide departmental support, including renewal data submissions, policy maintenance, contract reviews, certificate of insurance production and other day to day operational requests for all lines of business
  • Arrange loss adjustments, quantification & substantiation for losses recoverable & analysis of self-insured retentions, with our insurance providers and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Property loss control management – collaborate with local H&S partners and insurer to schedule site visits, review, and respond to insurer recommendations in order to reduce the Company’s risk exposure
  • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A and others as necessary for insurance payments, prepaid insurance schedules, premium allocations, claim processing & forecast updates
  • Partner with our Health & Safety team, Accounting, FP&A, TPA and actuary to identify enterprise financial exposure of our workers compensation programs by administering monthly and quarterly reporting processes.  Maintain WC program registrations, permits and other compliance requirements for self-insured and monopolistic states
  • Coordinate procurement of ancillary policies, insurance for hotel property management and provide support to internal stakeholders assisting with various HOA insurance policies and questions
  • Ad hoc support of Travel Guard - travel insurance, by partnering with insurer and captive partner to ensure compliance and program optimization
  • General departmental guideline support and communication for internal stakeholders including certificates of insurance requests, contracts, auto id cards and claim processing
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in an equivalent position
  • Strong with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • English, ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, complex messages
  • Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • High level of commitment to deliver quality work product; dependable self-starter and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, conflict management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

 

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $82,800.00 - $93,050.00 + annual bonus.  Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
