What You'll Do
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Benefits & Wellness Strategy to join our Benefits team. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting our benefits strategy by analyzing and recommending changes to our benefits plans. Your work will ensure that our programs, processes, and policies align with our overall benefits strategy.

Responsibilities
- Determine the competitiveness of our benefits programs through benchmarking, assessment of gaps, and identification of areas of opportunity to maintain Hearst's position as an employer of choice.
- Conduct cost analyses and recommend associated benefits design changes (e.g., medical, dental, etc.) to ensure competitive, effective, and efficient benefit programs and benefits management.
- Develop recommendations that improve management of financial strategy, specifically around rates and contributions.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring accountability for delivery, and overall satisfaction with programs and outcomes.
- Develop materials for executive leadership meetings, including those with the Senior Vice President, Global Benefits and the Chief Operating Officer.
- Deliver oral presentations, educational materials, and ongoing training broadly to Hearst business units and their employees.
- Partner with Hearst's vendor management lead and/or external consultants to develop requests for proposals or information for benefits plan bids.
- Serve as project leader to ensure all stakeholders and team members are apprised of progress on various initiatives and deliver required elements in a timely manner.
- Utilize Hearst's internal data warehouse to develop insights and make recommendations to better manage, monitor, and report on our health and welfare plans.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

- Actuarial or financial accounting knowledge is a plus.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of experience in project management, benefits consulting or benefits administration.
- Experience working with business unit human resources, payroll, outside vendors, and other benefits functions.
