Job Purpose/Summary:
Our company is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst of Global Sourcing to assist in our protein sourcing and exporting efforts to meet demand in international markets. The ideal candidate will have experience with international trade laws and regulations, a keen understanding of industry trends, and the ability to create and implement strategies that will help the company achieve market dominance in demand markets across the globe. As a Senior Analyst of Global Sourcing, you will be responsible for executing the strategic sourcing of animal protein products across the globe.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage sourcing lists and databases to identify suppliers that meet company requirements.
• Analyze market trends, global protein consumption trends and monitoring global protein trade flow. Real time understanding of the global macro and micro economic factors that could impact the business.
• Creating and managing a KPIs to actively monitor supplier performance and proactively work to resolve any issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, quality assurance, trade lane managers, and sales.
• Create and manage supplier availability dashboard through integrating through source the S&OP process.
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on sourcing activities, market trends and emerging opportunities.
Requirements:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Economics, International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience within the food industry with direct experience in animal protein or commodities.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sourcing and export strategies.
Strong negotiation skills and experience with international trade regulations and requirements.
Communication Skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and connect effectively with sensitivity and diplomacy across multiple cultures and native languages.
Special Skills - The selected candidate will need to be skilled in working through large levels of ambiguity with speed and agility.
Experience with international trade regulations and requirements.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience in macro-economic analysis
Familiarity with industry-specific regulatory frameworks and certifications is a plus.
