Senior Advanced Solutions Architect

Gentis Solutions is seeking a Senior Architect to join our team. This contract-to-hire position is with one of our Fortune 50 clients interested in full-time flex/remote consultants. Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software or infrastructure development domain with emphasis on utilizing design patterns and architectural principles to ensure the timely delivery of quality solutions
• 5+ years of experience taking a lead role in the successful delivery of complex software and automation systems
• Any experience integrating open-source technologies in high-volume production environments and strong knowledge of agile methodology
• Proven knowledge of technology to support omnichannel experiences
• Proven knowledge of service-oriented architecture
• Proven knowledge of Cloud patterns and best practices (Azure and/or GCP preferred)
• Demonstrated capability to build, mentor and maintain an inclusive team-based environment
• Proven delivery of innovative results in previous roles and strong knowledge of industry trends and industry competition
• Demonstrated written, oral, and presentation/public speaking communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate/work effectively with diverse groups of people

Desirable Skills

• Master's Degree in computer science, information systems, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in designing eCommerce applications
• 3+ years of experience working on high-volume, Internet-scale solutions
• 3+ years experience developing and/or architecting public cloud-hosted backend services with Azure and/or GCP

Typical Duties

• Develop the overall software & deployment architecture of application solutions across teams within a single domain
• Partner with engineering staff to deliver solutions
• Partner with 3rd party vendors to integrate capabilities as required by the solution under development
• Partner with Senior Solutions Architects during large, cross-functional project discovery to develop high-level architecture and design
• Lead architectural design reviews as required
• Draft, review and maintain architectural diagrams, interface specifications and other architectural artifacts as required by the delivery teams to clearly communicate the needs of the solution under development
• Interact with/present to engineering and product management with the presence to influence and drive the decision-makers to a solution
• Identify technology overlaps and gaps and inform Senior Solutions Architecture staff
• Assess emerging technologies and make appropriate recommendations based on business needs
• Mentor engineering team members in software development and architectural principles, patterns, processes, and practices
• Promote the capture and reuse of intellectual capital, including code objects and components
• Contribute to Solutions Architecture Community of Practice
