- Defining and documenting the overall solution, utilizing industry-recognized patterns and best practices.
- Working together with stakeholders to comprehend their needs and requirements.
- Evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies, patterns, and platforms for the solution.
- Developing and maintaining architectural standards and best practices under the guidance of the agency architectural roadmap.
- Ensuring that solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Working as a skilled hands-on .NET developer capable of deep collaboration with developers and QA to implement coding and testing artifacts with high quality and velocity.
- Stays up to date with the current and emerging technologies, tooling, and patterns along with proposing changes where needed.
- Providing technical guidance and support to developers and QA.
- Promote the use of patterns (when and why) and develop reference implements for commonly used patterns (how).
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues related to the solution.

Qualifications
The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the application.
The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
- Education: Core undergraduate program in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience AND
- Experience: Minimum 4 years combined work experience in any combination of the following: assisting with development and updates to the strategic Information Technology plan, participating in work groups to author Information Technology plan by discipline/program team and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design for assigned discipline/program team (e.g., software development, infrastructure, database administration, security) including 2 years technology related work experience as specified by the agency position description and vacancy/job posting.
Additional preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a C# .NET Developer.
- 5+ years of proven work experience as a solution or technical architect.
