We are seeking an experience Accounting Manager to help support and assist in managing the financial operations for Scott Laboratories. The ideal candidate must be able to lead by example and effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and guidance. In this role, the Assistant Manager must have excellent time management abilities and be passionate about leading change while inspiring and managing a team. Main responsibilities is month end close.
Job Description
The Accounting Manager will work closely with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting regulations, and efficient internal controls.
Key Requirements & Responsibilities:
· Day-to-day active management and transacting within the general accounting function including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, A/P, A/R, Inventory, Consolidations, and Financial Reporting.
· Accountable for ensuring that policies and procedures (internal controls) are in place, documented and adhered to
· Provide guidance and supervision to the accounting team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
· Train and mentor staff members, fostering their professional growth and development.
· Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
· Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external reporting
· Prepares annual property tax returns
· Assists with annual external/and internal audit and tax return work papers
· Assists with sales tax compliance
· Assist with cash EUR projections/foreign exchange contracts.
Key Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· 5+ years GL Corporate Accounting experience (large accounts)
· Supervision of direct reports
· Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems preferably Business Central
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
· Ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
· Leadership abilities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
· High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
· Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Intermediate Excel

Pay: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
