The Senior Accountant Payable Specialist will maintain accurate records, process invoices, reconcile accounts, ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, resolve discrepancies, and effectively communicate with vendors and stakeholders.
Legacy Transportation Services is currently seeking a qualified Senior Accounts Payable Specialist in San Jose.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily processing, review and posting of AP transactions.
• Prepare, process and submit check files, wire transfers, ACH payments, and check registers for positive pay.
• Reconcile vendors' monthly statements and ensure all invoices were received and coded properly.
• Reconcile company's monthly credit card statements ensuring all receipts are accounted for.
• Maintain W-9 forms for all vendors in the system.
• Procure office and janitorial supplies and respond promptly to any urgent request for supplies as needed.
• Assist and provide support to CFO, Controller and Staff Accountant for any AP queries.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
• Familiarity with purchases order process.
• Strong data entry skills for expenses reports.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Prior experience with MS Dynamics GP.
