Summary Description
Full Time Senior Accountant with strong financial and analytical skills with proficiency using technology, Microsoft Office applications, and ERP systems. This person will support the Accounting Manager and Assistant Accounting Manager with a focus on financial reporting, compliance, audit, and other projects as needed. This person will be responsible for producing accurate and timely financials, maintaining ledgers to ensure compliance with GAAP, and continually improving processes to increase efficiency.
Duties and Accountabilities
· Maintain the general ledger and trial balance
· Month-end and year-end close tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliation, variance analysis, financial reporting, and schedules
· Maintain P&L to ensure proper recording of Sales, COGS, SG&A, and other accounts while identifying discrepancies
· Preparation of sales and use tax returns, property tax returns, and GST returns, etc.
· Manage fixed assets and lease accounting, reconciliations, and roll forwards
· Develop and prepare division-specific financial analyses as requested
· Provide audit and income tax support
· Provide documentation and reports to support audit and tax
· Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Employment Standards
Education / Experience: Must have the following combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the above responsibilities. Typical qualification will be equivalent to:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· 3-5+ years of applicable Accounting experience
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite
· JDE ERP preferred
· Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to work with all levels professionally
· Inventory Accounting experience a plus
· Excellent organizational skills and time management; Self-motivated and driven
· CPA preferred, but not required

Pay: $33.00 - $36.00 per hour
