Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and supporting decision-making processes within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analytical reviews.
- Review and analyze accounts for accounting variances and discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy of subsidiary trial balances and inclusion in consolidated results.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures for assigned accounts and processes.
- Assist in the implementation and ongoing performance of internal controls in accordance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
- Provide supporting schedules for the Company’s quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) filings with the Securities Exchange Commission.
- Provide audit support as requested to the Company’s internal and external auditors.
- Assist in training and developing the accounting team including interns and staff accountants.
- Assist in special projects as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or other certifications in accounting is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; Workday ERP experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
