Concern Housing is seeking a Senior Accountant to apply accounting principles and prepare financial reports, compile financial information, analyze financial data, and ensure financial compliance. They are also responsible for the month-end close processes and supervision Staff Accountants and Bookkeepers.
Position:Senior Accountant
Location: Medford, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm
Salary: $80-$90K
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the monthly accounting close for all entities.
Prepare financial and budget-to-actual reports for investors, funders and internal purposes.
Supervisor bookkeepers and staff accountants and review applicable work.
Assists with the annual financial statement audits.
Prepare spreadsheets for development accounting.
Review bank reconciliations and journal entries.
Manage agency credit cards procedures and accounting.
Manage Amazon Business account.
Special projects as needed.
Remain current with all Agency required compliance documents and trainings.
Positions Supervised: Bookkeepers & Staff Accountants
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. Analytical ability and proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite ERP a plus. A minimum of two years’ experience in accounting.
