This position offers a base salary of $73,200.00 up to $97,600.00 (depending on experience, education, and qualifications for this role).

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Minimum 5 years of General Accounting experience
- Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand accounting outcomes and explain accounting treatment
- ERP systems experience
- Process excellence experience
- Excellent understanding of GAAP
- Excellent understanding of internal controls and compliance
- Highly organized

- Serve as the day-to-day accounting lead for assigned YMCA clients
- Serve as the YESS Finance liaison to client YMCAs operating teams
- Deliver accurate and timely GAAP financial statements to client YMCAs on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis as required
- Lead the audit process including the gathering of supporting documents, development of schedules, and the completion of the final audit report(s)
- Complete and deliver internal and external financial reports as required
- Process journal entries (create, validate)
- Set up recurring, accrual and reversing journal entries
- Facilitate and perform period close activities
- Develop and maintain balancing and control standards
- Perform variance analyses and reconciliations
- Monitor and correct complex data and information errors, and identify and resolve exceptions
- Coach/ support fellow team members to handle complex issues/exceptions
- Support development of clearly defined, achievable team and individual goals.
- Evaluate exceptions to process, quality, and service delivery commitments by category
- Participate in the prioritization of targeted exceptions
- Perform root cause analysis for more complex exceptions
- Identify risks or opportunities to revenues, cost, and profitability and propose appropriate actions
- Investigate outstanding reconciliations and associated variances
- Perform other duties as assigned
