Form of work Banyan Search is assisting a Best in Class employer in their search for a Senior Accountant with experience accounting for Payroll and specifically Equity Compensation. This position can be located in Greensboro, NC or Raleigh, NC. The Senior Accountant will serve as the Subject Matter Expert on share-based compensation programs and ensure they run smoothly and financial reports are accurate.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepare financial statement disclosures for SEC and statutory regulatory reporting related to Equity / Stock compensation
• Coordinate and execute the semiannual Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) enrollment processes
• Manage post-payroll tasks and fix errors
• Reconcile accounts to ensure data accuracy
• Become SME on the companys ESPP and answer inquiries as needed
• Prepare additional executive reporting on share-based compensation
• Keep current with rules and regulations around equity and payroll transactions
• Initiate process improvements
• Ensure SOX controls are in place and adequate
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA license or CEP designation is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in payroll accounting and/or equity administration
• Advanced Excel
• Excellent problem solving and communication
