Senior Accountant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Prepare journal entries in support of month-end closing activities, ensuring proper documentation is obtained.
* Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying reconciling items and communicating corrections and process improvements to management
* Lead Blackline reconciliation tool standardization and training across the company's accounting divisions
* Assist with analysis of month-end results, including comparisons to forecasts and budgets as well as researching and documenting variances
* Respond to inquiries from various departments regarding financial statements and general ledgers.
* Manage the intercompany process across the organization, working to identify issues and helping drive and adhere to monthly close calendar
* Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as requested.
* Ability to effectively partner with teams throughout the organization, both in and outside of the accounting and finance group
* Assist with interim and annual audits
Skills and Qualifications
* 4+ years experience in general accounting
* 3+ years experience in manufacturing preferred
* Bachelor's degree in accounting
* Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to understand the "root cause" of issues
* Competency with Microsoft Office and Advanced Excel functions
* Experience with ERP accounting systems, Microsoft Dynamics (D365) a plus
* Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
* Strong knowledge of GAAP
* Prior experience with consolidations and intercompany a plus
