The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for performing accounting and general ledger duties and assisting as needed with any functions of the corporate office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of financial principles and practices.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities including bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, GL account reconciliations and reviews.
  • Maintain accurate workpapers to support GL balances.
  • Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Monitor internal controls to ensure proper procedures are documented and followed.
  • Oversee the accounts payable process.
  • Assist in conducting the annual financial audit. Prepare appropriate documentation for external auditors.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Five years of accounting experience.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Have thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Must be highly motivated and detail oriented.
  • Practical experience with accounting software.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
