Senior Accountant

We offer our customers a state of the art facility with high-tech security and climate control. We also provide our customers storage advice (how to estimate the amount of space needed and how to pack a storage unit effectively), materials for moving and storing possessions such as boxes, pads, dollies, etc., moving and packing tips and will accept commercial deliveries without the customer being present.
Currently, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team of professionals in our Atlanta, GA Corporate Office.
*Job reports to: *Accounting Manager
*Position Overview:*
This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for accounting for the operating expenses of the facilities.
*Essential Functions: *
¨ Cash and revenue reconciliation on Tuesday and Friday for assigned facilities.
¨ Review assigned expense lines recorded during the month by Accounts Payable, release prior month's accrual and establish current month accrual for all facilities.
¨ Facilitate the monthly closing process for 20 - 25 facilities, prepare the financial packages and review with the Accounting Manager and the Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller.
¨ Reconcile bank accounts for facility and corporate accounts. Ensure that each account is reconciled monthly, completely, and accurately and that all remedial accounting entries are recorded and that root causes for errors are identified and remedied.
¨ Assist with the training of new accounting staff members and existing team members.
¨ Assist in any ad hoc projects with the Accounting Manager and/or the Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller.
*Skill Requirements:*
¨ Minimum five years staff accounting experience.
¨ Fluent in Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365.
¨ Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams - PC skills are considered at the expert level).
¨ Basic accounting and math skills.
¨ Team player.
¨ Analytical skills.
¨ Attention to detail.
¨ Understand all areas of the Accounting function.
¨ Ability to multi-task.
¨ Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment.
¨ Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
¨ Good verbal and written communication skills.
*Educational/Certification Requirements:*
Bachelors in business administration or related degree.
CPA designation a plus.

We offer an excellent compensation package to our Senior Accountants to include:
* Starting salary range of $80,000 to $85,000 annually based on previous work experience.
