Job Description
LHH is assisting our client with their Senior Accountant position on the east side of Cleveland, OH. This is a direct hire opportunity and sitting onsite. The client is looking for someone with at least 3-5 years of prior Accounting experience focusing on general ledger. In this roll, the candidate will prepare journal entries, maintain balance sheet schedules and ledgers, complete account reconciliations and analysis and assist with monthly closings.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepares monthly budget sheets, income statements, and profit and financial statements.
- Reconcile accounts and close the monthly books.
- Assist with the month-end closing process, making corrections to journal entries for account discrepancies, preparing closing journal entries, and preparing financial statements
- Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or discrepancies
- Participate in preparation for the annual audit
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or relevant field is preferred
- 3-5 years working experience and knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
- Manufacturing experience (huge plus)
