Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the financial activities of the organization. In this role, you'll ensure compliance with GAAP, prepare financial statements, and provide guidance to staff members. The ideal candidate has a strong background in general ledger accounting, financial analysis, and account reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Prepare financial and consolidated statements.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies for internal controls.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Exhibit a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prepare and review payroll.
• Assist in filing tax forms with government agencies.
• Plan, assign, and review accounting staff's work.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance OR Associate degree with Senior Accounting experience.
• Minimum of three years of related experience in an accounting discipline within a manufacturing environment.
• Cost Accounting experience highly preferred.
• Experience with accounting and ERP software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Extensive understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to work on time-sensitive projects with a sense of urgency.
