We’re looking to add a STAFF ACCOUNTANT to support our CFO on Long Island! We are an established real estate owner/management company in business for 80+ years, with properties in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Scarsdale and the Bronx.
This is an incredible opportunity for an extremely organized individual that thrives in a fast paced environment which requires multi-tasking, the ability to time manage and transition from task to task with ease. We are looking for individuals who have a “roll up your sleeves” attitude and is also “results driven”.
Candidates must be self-driven, reliable and be resourceful. Strong computer skills, proficient writing skills and strong communication skills are a must. The successful candidate should be capable of working with staff members, various internal departments, senior management, external accounting firms, vendors, bankers, etc... Previous experience in the NYC real estate market is not required but is a huge plus.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Assist the CFO in following up in all aspects of operations, accounting and finance;
· Perform analytical schedules as needed;
· Interface with all internal departments, external accounting firms, bankers, brokers and attorneys as directed by the CFO;
· Participate in the due diligence process for new acquisitions;
· Maintain organized files and obtain and provide various documents requested for finance structuring;
· Assist the accounting/controlling department when needed as directed by the CFO.
Qualifications of the successful candidate are:
· Finance or Accounting degree required
· RE experience is a huge plus but is not required
· Working knowledge of excel including pivot tables and vlookup features of Microsoft office software;
· Organizational skills are outstanding; and
· Role model type work ethic to help lead by example.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,277.62 - $85,461.52 per year
